Advertising Campaign
Satva Trust is a technology company providing independent, auditable and consistent data and unique insights on fuel consumption and carbon emissions in the global shipping industry.
Their data underpins better real-world business decisions to support a wide range of stakeholders, including but not limited to banks, insurance companies and ship owners/operators.
The highly customised platform enables users to gain insights on their emissions performance compared to their peers globally, to assess risks associated with fuel use, to price lending/insurance products based on fuel/emissions performance and much more.
Satva Trust founder, Robin, attended an ISL Talent’s founders’ lunch. It was here he was first introduced to ISL Talent, and the approach and services they offer to the startup community.
In follow up discussions between Satva’s founding team, and Henry, one of ISL’s founders, it was clear Satva Trust had a lot of the typical challenges faced by businesses in their early stages of evolution.
A great idea, an aspiration to scale the team with key people, a need to market test the product, but being bootstrapped, the need to do all this on tight resources.
It was clear that being able to offer Satva a comprehensive recruitment solution, within the budgets available, was not feasible.
Where one of ISL’s goals is to offer creative, cost effective, and flexible solutions, to support startups on their journey, we were able to offer a fully branded and managed advertising campaign, to support a key commercial hire.
The Results
Branded advertising –
To kick off the campaign ISL Talent consulted and supported Satva Trust in producing the content and layout for the advertising campaign.
Once defined, the branded campaign was published and managed by ISL Talent, through their key advertising channels.
Process Management
Like a lot of startups, Satva Trusts founders were time short. A key benefit to the service offered by ISL was giving them back their time, by managing all applications and expressions of interest in the role. This ensured all candidates applications were reviewed and effectively communicated with.
Over the course of the campaign there were 367 applicants. Having spent time understanding the role and agreeing clear parameters with Satva Trust from the outset, ISL were able to filter this down and provide a long list 20 candidates.
Satva Trust was therefore able to focus their time engaging with candidates most suitably aligned for their role. They were able to interview several candidates they felt were well suited to their position. Around this ISL managed all communications and feedback applicants not longlisted.
Hiring Infrastructure
To ensure the process was as efficient as possible, ISL Talent gave Satva Trust access to their technical infrastructure.
Through this Satva Trust were able to have full visibility on how the campaign was progressing, to accessing all long-listed candidates, and managing all communications with them.
If required Satva had full visibility and access to all applications, during and after the campaign, enabling them to view and engage with all candidates.
Additional support
Throughout the campaign ISL offered feedback and advice. This led to occasional modifications to the advertising, with the aim of improving the quality of applications.
