As a Tech Nation Rising Star company, when it came to developing a tech team to enable their product to scale, CEO Sara and COO Gill knew hiring the very best talent was going to be an important part of their growth journey.
After a recommendation from Tech Nation, they reached out to us.
We initially advised and guided them, for free, to directly recruit their first product hire.
After their positive initial experience with us they had no hesitation in engaging us commercially when they needed a key senior hire, a CTO.

The Results
Jon, Role Mapper’s CTO has been in place for 10 months, and is loving his new role. Whilst maintaining a relationship with our co-founder Alan, Gill and Sara are supported by experts within our delivery team.
Paying it forward
We’ve loved our conversations with RoleMapper from the start, partly because of how Sara and Gill come across, and also as it’s typical of how we like to engage with scaleups. Initially we were able to give some advice and insight, which helped them hire direct. They trusted us when they needed to engage with someone for a CTO, and we co-created a hiring process, which included showing off their story directly to candidates rather than hiding behind anonymous job adverts.

Whilst tech is at our core, we support our clients across their hiring needs and RoleMapper is a great example of this. After placing their CTO we’ve continued to work across product, support and marketing teams.
Face to face at key stages
We met all the CTO candidates before their final stage interviews, as well as meeting with Gill and Sara to guide them on interviewing for this role. This increased involvement helped secure their preferred candidate within 24 hours, leaving everyone happy.
Their advisor was impressed enough with what we did that he’s since recommended us to another of his companies, where we’ve since made key technical hires.
